Understanding, Attracting & Retaining Millennials in the Workplace

Laureen Mark has spent the majority of her career working with business owners, CFOs and HR Managers in an effort to bring a more positive work experience to their organizations and company culture. She has spent over 22 years advising businesses
with solutions impacting their employee benefits, retirement plans and payroll/HR systems. In her present role as an Account Executive with Paylocity in the Central Valley, she brings passion and curiosity to businesses she meets with.

Laureen is thrilled to have left crowded Silicon Valley for the strong community of Fresno when she moved here 2 years ago. In her free time she enjoys working in her garden, riding her bike, spoiling her nieces and nephews, and road trips with her husband throughout California.

Forty-six percent of the workforce in the U.S. is under the age of 35! Sixty-seven percent of Millennials judge their employer by what technology is available in the workplace!

No doubt this demographic is changing the way employees apply for jobs, view their employer, seek recognition and decide whether to stay. But are employers adapting to be competitive?

This presentation will discuss the common traits, attributes, interests and expectations of Millennials and how employers can be more knowledgeable and successful in attracting and retaining this group.

This presentation will discuss:
• Why Millennials are different in thought, action and ambition.
• Common traits and characteristics.
• What employers can do to attract and retain Millennials.
• Tools that Millennials expect and appreciate in the workplace.
• Provide a look at your organization’s tools and processes and whether those are Millennial-friendly.

2018 membership rates will apply.  Please remember to register even if you are a pre-paid member.  Also, if you do not attend the event and do not cancel at least 24 hours prior to the start of registration, you will be charged the full amount.

For questions on membership, please contact Ashley Marroquin at (559) 651-4040 or send an e-mail to membership@shrmtularekings.org
